Bio
Aakansha is currently pursuing her PhD at School of International Service, American 青瓜视频. Before joining the PhD program, she worked as an interdisciplinary researcher focusing on land rights, social justice, waste economy, and climate change. She is a mixed-methods researcher by training and an ethnographer by choice.
Her doctoral work looks at the climate-(im)mobility nexus in the Indian Himalayan range. She is studying the complex ways in which communities take migratory decision when their livelihoods are impacted by climate change. She is particularly interested in why do some people continue to live in climate-vulnerable regions.
