Bio
Melissa is a Ph.D. student in American Çà¹ÏÊÓƵ’s Department of Justice, Law, and Criminology. She received her B.A. in psychology and criminal justice from the Çà¹ÏÊÓƵ of Delaware in 2022, with minors in domestic violence prevention and services, women and gender studies, and political science.

Her primary research interests include gender-based violence, campus sexual victimization, and legal and policy responses to these issues. Additionally, she has examined the presence of technology-facilitated sexual violence among college populations and help-seeking behaviors of survivors of sexual victimization. Previous research has included topics in policing, focusing on the effects of viewing aggressive police officer-civilian interactions, as well as examining the accessibility of various state benefit programs.
