Bio
Ido Levy is a PhD candidate at the School of International Service and an associate fellow at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy. His research examines how armed nonstate actors develop military capabilities. He focuses on jihadist groups, the Islamic State (ISIS) in particular, in the Middle East and Africa. His book, Soldiers of End-Times, analyzes how and why ISIS acquired conventional military capabilities and assesses its combat performance. Find it on Amazon via the link on the right of this page.
