Meredith Kelly, Partner, Declaration Media Group

Kelly spoke about campaign management to WeLead2020. She聽is a seasoned communications professional and campaign operative who has spent over a decade directing strategy and advising top officials at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), in the U.S. Senate and on the presidential campaign trail, notably as Communications Director for Senator Kirsten Gillibrand鈥檚 2020 presidential campaign. Before joining the Gillibrand campaign, Kelly served as Communications Director at DCCC in the 2018 cycle when Democrats flipped 40 seats and regained a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives. She served as National Press Secretary at DCCC in the 2016 cycle when Democrats gained 9 seats, despite Republicans winning the White House. Kelly got her start in politics working in Senator Chuck Schumer鈥檚 communications office, including as a senior spokesperson. Most recently, she created political ads for causes and clients across the country, including in California, New Mexico, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Montana. Kelly earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Boston College.
