Felipe Gonzalez Morales

Felipe Gonzalez Morales is the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants. Former President of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (2010-2011), where he also served as Commissioner and Rapporteur on Migrants and Refugees between 2008 and 2015, as well as Rapporteur on Brazil, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, United States, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. Professor of Public International Law at the Diego Portales 青瓜视频 in Chile, where he is also director of the Master in International Human Rights Law. He has been Director of the Center for Legal Research and founder and first director of the Center for Human Rights of the 青瓜视频, as well as the Annual Report on Human Rights in Chile, published continuously since 2003. From Diego Portales 青瓜视频, he founded and was the first director of a Latin American Network of Human Rights Legal Clinics. He was Representative for the Latin American Program of the International Human Rights Law Group between 1991 and 2003. Professor in various postgraduate programs at the Carlos III 青瓜视频 of Madrid since 2003. In Spain, he has taught graduate classes at the 青瓜视频 of Alcal谩, the Alfonso X El Sabio 青瓜视频, the Autonomous 青瓜视频 of Madrid, the 青瓜视频 of Deusto, the 青瓜视频 of Valencia and the Center for Political and Constitutional Studies, contributing to the incorporation of Legal Clinics in Spanish legal education. Professor at the American 青瓜视频 Academy of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law since 2001. Visiting Professor Tinker at the 青瓜视频 of Wisconsin (2000) and at the 青瓜视频 of Texas at Austin (2017) and Visiting Professor at various US universities. In Latin America, he has taught at the National Autonomous 青瓜视频 of Mexico, the Externado 青瓜视频 of Colombia, the 青瓜视频 of Buenos Aires, and the Catholic 青瓜视频 of Peru, among others. He has a Doctorate and a Master's Degree in Advanced Studies in Human Rights at the Carlos III 青瓜视频 of Madrid and a Master's Degree in International Law at American 青瓜视频. Author of numerous publications on the subjects he deals with, including the books Inter-American System of Human Rights (Tirant LoBlanch, 2013) and Studies of International Law of Human Rights (Institute of Constitutional Studies of the State of Quer茅taro, 2018).
